A military weapons project puts a dog, cat and rabbit into super advanced armour that allows them to talk and have access to weapons. This was obviously a school-boy error as the animals escape. The Army tries to retrieve them and meets an inevitable and hasty demise in the process. In a reverse of Short Circuit, they send one weapon against the three, a next generation cyborg bull mastiff. The rest, as they say, is history.

Marvel vs DC

Two intergalactic entities that represent Marvel and DC universes become aware of each other. This leads to a, "this universe ain't big enough for the both of us" type battle. The combined "Amalgam Universe" is where some of the greatest cross-over battles of all time take place.

The Walking Dead

Robert Kirkman has captured zombie law, added a humanitarian story and then eviscerated the lot. Sticking to the classic story, humans become zombie infected and a cop father wakes up in a hospital to find the undead have taken over and he must find his wife and son. After liberating some brains from their craniums he meets his family and many other characters. More friends come and go and constant zombie attacks wear down the survivors. In true zombie genre style the undead test humanity's ability to remain civil humans in extreme circumstances. From capturing and inhabiting a prison, to a town with gladiator-style zombie fights, this is a constantly shocking and original zombie epic.
