Charles De Lauzirika Craves Ron Perlman For Feature Debut

The king of DVD is expanding his realm to the big screen. Charles de Lauzirika is the man responsible for creating a number of beloved DVD boxsets and special editions including the Alien Quadrilogy and Blade Runner: The Final Cut. De Lauzirika is highly praised for his DVD supplement work, but it’s time to go big and he’ll do so with a psychological thriller called Crave.

According to Shock Till You Drop, the film “centers on a downtrodden photographer who is haunted by the urban violence and decay around him causing him to retreat into an inner world of dark fantasies. When his intoxicating new romance with a beautiful young woman goes sour, those dangerous visions explode into reality with deadly consequences.” The broken photog will be played by Josh Lawson and the young woman by Emma Lung. Also in the film
is Ron Perlman who’ll portray Pete, a veteran detective.

De Lauzirika has worked with a very impressive list of directors which includes Ridley and Tony Scott, Sam Raimi, James Cameron and the Coen brothers, so if he’s learned anything from them we must have something good coming our way. Shooting is currently underway in Detroit
