Gangster-movie staples Vera Farmiga (“The Departed”, “Running Scared”) and James Caan (“The Godfather”, “Honeymoon in Vegas”) will join Keanu Reeves in the Neo-hatched “Henry’s Crime”, reports Variety.

Reeves plays a big-hearted man who is falsely accused of robbing a bank in Buffalo. Farmiga will be his lover. Caan's role has not been disclosed.

Malcolm Venville ("44 Inch Chest") directs; Sacha Gervasi ("Anvil! The Story of Anvil") penned the script for the rom-com.

The project is poised to become the first picture in production for Company Films, the banner Reeves runs with Stephen Hamel.

Reeves and Hamel will produce with Lemore Syvan. Scott Fischer, who put up development money for the project, will be executive producer through his First Star Films banner.
