They’re always pumping out hard-edged rock music, and the latest release from Linkin Park looks to be a new and exciting chapter in their career.

And today the lead single “The Catalyst” was released, a harbinger for the hotly anticipated new album A Thousand Suns.

Though A Thousand Suns doesn’t hit stores until September 14th, fans got a taste of “The Catalyst” through a contest called “Featuring You” in which stems from the song were given out to see who could come up with the sickest remix.

The fan version of the song will appear on the album, but you can hear the original song in the widget below.
